ദൈവത്തിലേക്കുള്ള കുറുക്കുവഴിക്കായി പണം എന്നും നിര്‍ണ്ണായകമായ ഉപാധിയായി ആധിമകാലം തൊട്ടേ പുരോഹിത വര്‍ഗം ഉപയോഗിച്ചതിന് ചരിത്രപരമായ ധാരാളം തെളിവുകള്‍ ഉണ്ട്. ഇവിടെ സമ്പന്നനെന്നോ പാമരനെന്നോ പാപിയെന്നോ വിശുദ്ധന്‍ എന്നോ ഉള്ള തരO തിരിവ് ഇക്കൂട്ടര്‍ക്ക് ലവലേശം പോലും ഒരിക്കലും ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല. എന്നാല്‍ സകല പുരോഹിതര്‍ക്കും അപവാതമായി കാല്‍വരിയില്‍ ക്രൂശിതനായി നമ്മുടെ നിത്യ രക്ഷയ്ക്ക് കാരണമായ നിത്യ പുരോഹിതനായ ഈശോ മിശിഹാ തന്റെ ചുടുനിണത്താല്‍ നമുക്ക് ദൈവത്തിലേക്കുള്ള സ്വയം കുറുക്കുവഴിയായി മാറി.
പാപികളെയും രോഗികളെയും തേടിവന്ന ഈ നിത്യ പുരോഹിതന്‍ ഒരിക്കലും ഒന്നും വാങ്ങിയല്ല നമ്മുടെ മോചനം തന്റെ സ്വപിതാവില്‍ നിന്ന് നമുക്കായി വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയിതത്. നമ്മുടെ കുറവുകള്‍ നികത്തി പാപങ്ങള്‍ വെടിഞ്ഞ് മറ്റുള്ളവരെ സ്നേഹിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ നാമെല്ലാം ദൈവത്തിലേക്ക് സ്വീകരിക്കപ്പെടുമെന്ന് ഈശോ നമ്മെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
വലുപ്പത്തില്‍ മാത്രമല്ല അറിവിലും വിശ്വാസത്തിലും കുറവുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ചുങ്കക്കാരനായ സക്കെവൂസ്സ് തന്റെ കുറവുകള്‍ മനസ്സിലാക്കി അവയെല്ലാം വെടിയാന്‍ തയ്യാറായി ഈശോയെ കാണാന്‍ സിക്കാമൂര്‍ മരത്തില്‍ കയറിയിരുന്ന കാര്യം വിശുദ്ധ ലികിതത്തിലൂടെ നമുക്ക് അറിവുള്ളതാണ്. ഇത്തരം സക്കേവൂസ്സുമാരെ തേടിവന്ന ഈശോ ഒന്നു ചെറുതാകാന്‍ മനസ്സ് കാണിച്ച സക്കെവൂസ്സിന്റെ വീട്ടില്‍ അത്താഴം കഴിക്കുന്ന കാഴ്ചയാണ് നാം കാണുന്നത്. ഈ സക്കെവൂസ്സിന്റെ മനസ്സിലും വീട്ടിലും കുടിയിരുന്ന ഈശോ സക്കെവൂസ്സില്‍ വരുത്തിയ മാറ്റം എത്രയോ വലുതാണ്‌. താന്‍ അന്ന്യായമായി കൈക്കലാക്കിയ മുതല്‍ പലിശ സഹിതം തിരികെ കൊടുക്കുക മാത്രമല്ല തനിക്കുള്ളതുകൂടി ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് ഇനി ഒരിക്കലും ഒരു തിരിച്ചുപോക്കില്ലാത്തവിതം പുതിയ മനുക്ഷ്യനായി തീര്‍ന്നു.

Our church was like an open bar for perunnal. To satisfy so called "prachiyettans" VG promote liquor in church. I challenge VG to stop liquor in St.Marys. Also VG is collecting money to rent basement to use it as a bar for our prachiyettans on Fridays . What a wonderful BAR!!! May be soon they will start "Cabere " in bar.

If the government announces an award for “Most corrupted Church” in the world, it will be reward to our own Church. Everything under one umbrella. Sacraments, Kallu and many things more. ReplyDeleteNow a days our churches are like a membership club. I don’t see any affection or heart felt mass or prayers. Lot of Announcement, only to entertain big pranchiees
Most of the priests are not even 50% qualified to be called as a priest. Though there are some minority with good heart and intention they were pushed under the carpet.
The initial day of the perunnal there were people drinking in the parking lot even before the mass was over. There were some of the Presithenthys were there too. What are the young generation learning from this? Mutholachan keep on saying spiritual growth. I feel we are actually growing in SPIRIT ( alcohol). Has he ever talked about alcoholism in our community?
ReplyDeleteWhy they collect $120 from each child for ccd. There is no expense with ccd and no official qualification, quality, training or experience with the teachers. If there is a general test with other school children and teachers we will be the last. We are just cheating our future with church politics.

DeleteWhile watching the "Lelam" (Elakka mala) did you notice, when Muthu comes and make the announcement that whoever calls over $2500, their name will be put on the donor list also their pictures will appear on the newsletter. All the pranchiyettans started calling for large sums. Finally "Policekarante makkal" won the lelam for $5000. What a bunch of "morons" in Chicago..
