  1. I think Mar Moolakattu has cheated this community, by not following the gospel according to Mar. Kunnassery. "It is better to close down the mixed knanaya missions than having mixed-exogamous status." Endogamy is the cornerstone of every Knanaite, Send Muthu home, send Moolakattu home as he has no power on us according to Moolakattu. Close down these mixed missions and the venom spitting mission priests from the alter, rather than spreading the gospel according to the teachings of Jesus Christ. KCCNA, do you have the guts to tell these priests, enough is enough, we have brought you and now take them back and close down all the missions. These missions do not serve a second into my family's spiritual needs, rather teaches them hatred through all the politics played on every sunday masses.

    1. Chicago kna should stand only for the knanaya community. ie. for its members only, and not for the knanites who opted exogamy (ie. the KANAs) but still trying to get membership in knanaya parishes. KANAs are not members of the knanaya community.

Mar Moolekkat asked only not to tarnish the Community.

So you should stick on to endogamy on principle, and resort to personal criticism only where it is warranted. If your personal criticism is felt too much or unnecessary to that extent, your credibility will be adversely affected.

If you stop publishing at this stage, it will be considered as cheating the knanites who developed great expectations about you.

      Dear brother, Philip:

I have gone through numerous posts/mails from you strongly advocating endogamy and repeatedly proclaiming “No Endogamy, No Knanaya.” I have no argument about your stand and feel you have every right to believe in endogamy.

Endogamy is something precious and without a substitute for you. Now, let us face it, our church authorities willingly, or under duress, are compromising on it. They are trying to create smoke screens and confuse people. The truth is that we, the members of Knanaya Community in America, come under the pastoral care of Bp. Angadiath who has verbally and in writing made it known to all that the centuries old practice of endogamy has come to an end. At least, we have to live with those who violate this practice. Anyone with minimum sanity will have no doubts about it, no matter what those in Kottayam say during their US visits.

Here is my question: what are you doing about it? Any protests, any threats, or timidly accept it as your fate?

  4. Moolakkadan was spraying powder in our eyes. Let Angadiath make that same statement. Then we can believe it

  5. Chicago Kna, you are the best. Please be with the Knanaya people in U.S. You have changed the way people think. keep up the good work. You have brought out the fraudulent muthu through your blog. Get these crooks out of this country.

Forget about who says what through Mutholam's blog. Who cares about it. Nobody reads it. Nobody wants it. It is garbage same like what the priests preaches from the alter. Houston will be the first mission to close down. They have no money. No one is contributing money now a days. They will use you and throw it away like curry leaves after taking your money.

  7. I like my brother. But, i like my mother most. I love all my brothers and sisters in the universal Catholic Church. But, i love the most of my Knanaya Community with its purity coming from the First Father Prophet Abraham and his descendents.

  8. We can understand our Knana brothers about their lost dream. It is your fate which you decided for your best interest. We suggest you to be a generation like Prophet Ismael(Muslims) who is brother of prophet Issac(Jews and Christians.)We never going to say you are not son of our Knanaya Father. But you are a generation of son and daughters of Parayan, Pulayan, Servant etc. Like Prophet Ismael who born to a lady servant of our first Father Prophet Abraham.

think about your children too, you might build a great community but what if you loose your children to these Ismael group ?Is this great community and church serve any good to you? Accept the reality and believe what you see, half of our kna friends anyway look, walk, talk and drink like these Parayans and Pulayans. That is the heritage of 1700 years in Kerala. So it doesn't matter ,just have some fun and fellowship.Accept all those who what to join this group and have more fun ,don't worry too much about anything else.God loves us all same way....

    2. It does matter now and it always mattered to our parents and forefathers. They always thought about there children. Thats why we are here after 1700 years still maintaining out heritage.

  11. Dear Blogger,
Most of our people don’t know what will be serious implications going to happen due to Archbishop Mar Mathew Moolakkatt's recent statement and speech. Still due to some personal intensions or politics many are supporting his stand , many people believe that this is only an American issue and nothing to do with Kottayam diocese. Very few people are aware about recent developments at Kottayam regarding Archbishop Mar Mathew Moolakkatt's recent statement about exogamous marriage, Knanaya Catholica Congress met on 04-03-2012 and discussed this issue ,they will meet Archbishop when he returns and will declare their stand on this issue.
What I understood from the speech and the statement given by the Archbishop Mar Mathew Moolakkatt is the following thing. Knanaya Catholics mean a baptized Catholics of Knanaya Catholics parents, they will remain as Knanaya Catholics up to their death , they will not lose their Knanaya identity through exogamous marriage , Those who marries from outside Kottayam diocese can retain their membership in their respective parishes if they wish, Their spouse and children will not be considered as member of the Knanaya parish , what our diocese was doing up to this time ( ie asking our people to join nearby non knanaya parish for exogamous marriage ) was just a practice to protect our endogamous nature , but according to the holy see those who marries from outside kna can continue as knanaya parish member.

This will create many problems. . Those people who were forced to join the other parishes due to marriage can challenge that time decision. I don’t think thousands of people who joined other parishes for marriage and soul’s of people resting peace in non knanaya cemeteries will tolerate this stand. We will go back to a situation before 1911 ie common parish for Knanaya and non Knanaya people. Because even though the spouse and children of an exogamous kna (knanaya person marries from outside Kottayam diocese) will not get membership in the parish , the parish has to fulfill their liturgical needs.
At present Knanaya organization are not giving membership to exogamous kna, in future this will create confusion, how we will deny membership to a Knanaya parish member , he may be the trustee or auditor of the church. We need a clear picture, so for that fight withour personal agendas we should stand together.

  12. Bishop Moolakatt expressed that Samudhayam and Sabha can be treated as two sides of a coin. But parish and local associations can not be called two sides of a coin. According to him, local associations are part of a parish. Membership criteria of a parish as defined by Moolakat is those who are born of Knanaya Parents. For the local associations the definition of a Knanaya Person is 1. A person should be born of both Knanaya Parents and 2. If married the spouse of that person has to be born to Knanaya Parents. So if a Kna marries from outside, that person is a member of the parish and not the local associations. If local associations is part of a parish, how can a parishner be denied the membership of the local associations. By changing the definition of a Knanaya person, Bishop Moolakat is creating more problems/confusions etc, than solving it.
It is time people express their outrage to his statement. Just watching and be a bystander does not solve any problems. You have to act.

  13. Organization to organization KCCNA is superior Crooks or criminals cannot tarnish KCCNA.It is the Heart beat of thousands of knanaya people in North America. It is a precious coin molded in special Knanaya Oven. Nothing can be added or delete from it. BEWARE- Biting this diamond not only damage the teeth but also loose your identity. Ask not what Kccna can do for you ,ask what you can do for KCCNA.

  14. Blogger, don't go away. You are the only open voice of the people. The church information, local association, KCCNA, Bishop are all openions of that organisations. There is no media for the everyday average Joe like me to voice my thoughts without fear of making fun or thrashing our name. Keep this media please so our openions are hear and issues can be openly discused.

Welcome to the 21st century, welcome to American open society life. Discard the Kerala style politics. Reject the behind-the-sean whealing-dealing style of malayali management.

  16. Why some people want to change the definition of Knanaya in to something else ? Who ever wants to change their own definition, it is up to them. But, when somebody change their destiny, why they want to stay as Knanaya title ? It is really sad some lost birth want to be called by the Knanaya title. Who ever want to exit from our Community, please go and leave us alone.

  17. Why there is a problem for Knanaya people to be a Catholics under their pure blood identity ? Where in Bible or any Christian teachings saying people can not preserve their Heritage and identity ?
Knanaya didn't sprout from the Catholic Church or even from Jesus time. But, this community was created and kept as holly to give birth to our Lord Jesus Christ.
We should keep the original heritage and identity till the last family exist and who ever want to leave they can leave and they will be called as personal opportunists. They have no right to be called as Knanaya people. Because they have to keep up two things. "JENMAM and KARMAM"

  19. We will take care of the Knanaya issues in the United States. Close down the mixed missions and take care of the criminals you are protecting at Kottayam. Any fool knows that Knanaya means you have to be born to Knanaya Parents and practice endogamy. Sanysasi Moolakatt is no one to change the Knanaya Definition by standing beside another criminal. Take him with you and start a Sanysasi Sabha in Carithas. Leave the Knanaites alone. We all know you were not qualified to be a bishop when there were other much more capable priests at Kottayam Diocese.

  20. why don't you make two groups under one knanaya, those who married out can be in the reformed kna and others orthodox kna.they could function under kna. This can prevent the children who married out going to non denomination churches. Both knnaya jacobite and knanaya catholic can have the same set up.Oterwise what happens is that since we do not accept them they think they are unwanted and we are exposing them to any religion, afterall they are our blood too. There will be a lot of intermarriages among the future generations. So think about a set up for them.keep our community unique and no merging.May God Bless
