Dear Knanaya Community members in North America,
KCCNA secretary has recently circulated a letter from KCCNA executive and National Council in which the following sentance is given. "Based on the feedbacks from member associations KCCNA adopted a resolution to reject the SM Diocese and advised community members to keep their membership in respective Latin Parishes on December 28th 2002."
This is a false report from the secretary of KCCNA. KCCNA did not request the community members to keep their membership in respective Latin Parishes on that date. The full resoultion of the said KCCNA meeting is given below to prove that KCCNA secretary with or without the knowledge of KCCNA executive and National Council is propagating false information to misguide the community.

Dear community members,
KCCNA was surprised to see the letter from Joy Chemmachel (his letter is given below this mail). We are forced to address one point in Mr. Chemmachel's letter "KCCNA secretary is misleading the community". How can secretary alone mislead when a letter was send behalf of the KCCNA executive commitee and national council. Don't you think it is a "personal attack" against the secretary. Such an attack directed against an individual who held a responsible position in KCCNA was published by Fr. Mutholath in his yahoo group without consulting with any one of the current KCCNA officials. Now, let us look into the substance of the matter.
1. We are/were all members of the local Latin Parishes ever since we are in this country.
2. KCCNA's resolution in December 2002 clearly states "The Knanaya Catholic Community of North America "rejects the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Diocese" of Chicago since it does not recognize and respect the customs and traditions of the Knanaya Community"
and
"The 4th resolution says "Until a favorable decision acceptable to the Knanaya Community is arrived at, the Syro-Malabar Diocese of Chicago should not enforce its Diocesan Status ( Palli Yoga Nadapidikal) on the existing Knanaya Catholic Missions".
3. Therefore, it is clearly implied that if we are "rejecting" the Syro-Malabar diocese, then we have to continue to maintain our membership in Latin Parishes for our religious/pastoral needs.
KCCNA have only one request to Joy Chemmachel and Fr. Mutholath, please do not try to split hairs. Attacking the messenger clearly shows "panic" in the ranks of the concerned because they cannot challenge facts in the letter from KCCNA. Few tried similar trick in Houston association's general body meeting without success.
KCCNA stands for the community and therefore it has a duty to protect the interests of the community members and the community. Hence it seeked feed back/input from comunity members on this topic without which KCCNA cannot make a decision. Unanimous Resolution Adopted by the Knanaya Catholic Congress of
North America ( KCCNA) National Council Meeting held on December 28, 2002
1. KCCNA will be the official voice of the Knanaya Catholic
Community of North America.
2. The Knanaya Catholic Community of North America rejects the St.
Thomas Syro-Malabar Diocese of Chicago since it does not recognize
and respect the customs and traditions of the Knanaya Community.
3 KCCNA is convinced and it is a historical fact that being
part of the Syro-Malabar Church, the Knanaya Community has not been
able to protect and develop its centuries old traditions, customs
and sacramentals. Therefore, KCCNA is requesting the Catholic
Church Hierarchy to recognize the Knanaya Community as a sui iuris
Church.
4. Until a favorable decision acceptable to the Knanaya Community
is arrived at, the Syro-Malabar Diocese of Chicago should not enforce its Diocesan Status ( Palli Yoga Nadapidikal) on the
existing Knanaya Catholic Missions.
5. The KCCNA Executive Committee is hereby authorized to
take any and all future course of action in these matters.

എന്ത് ന്യായത്തിന്റെ പേരിലാണ്, ഈ മുത്തുപണ്ടാരത്തിനെ ഇങ്ങിനെ മേയാന്‍ വിടുന്നത്? ഒരു സമുദായത്തെ മൊത്തം മാനഭംഗപ്പെടുത്തുന്നത് എത്ര നാളാണ് നോക്കികൊണ്ട് നില്‍ക്കുന്നത്?
